LESSON SIX: THE MAP

To plan the route to your summit goal, you’ll need to consider the terrain, how long you have, and the stops that you’d like to make along the way. We call these stops way- points. They show us that we’re headed in the right direction and give us a clear path of travel. Just like when you’re hiking, instead of climbing straight up the side of a mountain, we can use waypoints to choose the best route upwards.

LESSON SEVEN: ADVENTURE ITINERARY

Even though it may sound restrictive, it’s essential to create a schedule for your summit goal. Without a solid plan in place, the minute you get sick, tired, or bored, you’ll quit. When the going gets tough, your itinerary will hold you accountable and keep you moving forward. And, it will help shift your summit goal from an idea to a scheduled priority.
